Oneself as Another: Yantraputraka Metaphors in Buddhist Literature

چکیده
While Buddhist teachings deny the presence of a stable, unchanging self, they must still make sense human agency. In this article, I look through metaphors mechanical men in literature, which inform us attempts to tackle problem by resorting figurative speech. With selection examples, we shall see not only basic rationale these metaphors, as well dynamics their usage texts against different doctrinal backgrounds, but also meta-philosophical role penetrating agent-oriented “universe discourse”.
